I'm on 4.1.2, rooted, unlocked and running Nexusque ROM.  Is there a good reason to go back to stock rom and recovery and take this download (OTA Update that is)?

The only thing that's worth anything in this update are the new radios.  The FXZ is out...you could flash them if you made a custom xml file for the FXZ or fastboot them directly.

Thanks SamuriHL, I think I'll just wait for the ROM to be updated or another ROM to include the new radios.

You're best bet is to fastboot the radios. Roms traditionally do not contain radios

This is correct.  Maybe I should make a custom radio flash package that people can use to flash the radios.  If I have time I'll take a look tonight.

I'm looking.  I don't know the RAZR HD FXZ's as well as I do the Bionic's.  If I knew which files related to the radios it'd be a piece of cake.

No I have that.  I've had it since this morning.  Give me a few.  I'm almost done.  Just need to test a few more things and then button up my script.

And I failed.  Awesome.  I'm working on it.  This may take some time to sort out.

And it's done.

o) Unzip the zip file to a folder

o) Put the phone in AP Fastboot mode (power off, hold volume down and press power)

o) Connect to USB

o) Open the radio_updater.xml file in RSD

o) Flash away

WARNINGS - MUST READ!

Reversing this process doesn't seem to work.  Meaning flashing an older version of the radio by doing this doesn't downgrade it.  I know why but there's nothing I can do about it.  This is why it failed for me earlier.  I went back to an MR4 backup, confirmed that I had the old baseband, ran this against it, and had MR4 running with the new baseband with no problem.  You have been warned that you can't use this method to downgrade...only upgrade to a newer radio.

ALSO NOTE: I've only tested this on an unlocked phone.  Anyone brave enough to try this on a locked bootloader...please post your results.  Thanks!

P.S. On first boot after the radio is updated, it could take a few minutes for the radios to connect.  WIFI seems fine, but, the cell radio took me 3-5 minutes before it'd connect.  During that time the baseband shows unknown.  Don't panic.  Just wait for a few minutes.
