Unlocked = don't worry about root

It's a beautiful thing.

Worked perfectly for me also, Sam.

I keep looking for a sub-forum called HoRHD but I can't seem to find it. :D

Can't release it.  I don't have permission for the things I've integrated.  Besides, Matt's util covers most of the stuff mine does.  And I never developed it for release...it works enough for me to use.

The only thing that's worth anything in this update are the new radios. The FXZ is out...you could flash them if you made a custom xml file for the FXZ or fastboot them directly.

I was thinking the same thing. Screw the update and FB the radio
Edit: I finished reading and saw your work. Thanks Sam! Gonna do this now :)

The update is def worth more than just the radios, both my wifes and my phone had become seriously unstable since the JB upgrade with regards to rebooting (even on 4.2 roms) and my wifes phone actually had the sms unread bug and it came back after a factory data reset. After the update, both reboots and sms issue were fixed. I was getting 5+ reboots a day (especially when playing music) and now I have been going on a week without one, that is absolutely huge. I just hope to see these fixes hit the 4.2 roms, because I could not STAND driving around jamming to some tunes, and then having it go dead on the random, especially bad when using navi as well in a area of the city you don't know!!

You can use the tool in this thread to flash stock recovery (Razr HD, there's a different one for M)

Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

[Utility]Flash-CWM-or-TWRP-Recovery-1-Click-{UPDATED-7-11-13}-V6!

And then this is the thread for the directions for SuperSu rooting

So just flash SuperSu zip in TWRP after i reflash it if I have lost root? Just about to start the update

Yup, after you get done with update, get twrp back on, and flash that zip, you will be rooted again. Worked flawlessly for me.

Well it said update failed. But system version says 9.18.79 so i guess it actually worked? Not sure my Baseband updated though, Im showing VANQUISH_BP_100730.081.64.09P   Is that right?

EDIT: It appears I kept Root using Voodoo OTA

Baseband should end with 15p. You flashed in stock recovery?

Yes I have stock recovery installed and i just updated like anyother OTA letting it do its thing. Saw the android with the spinning thing in its chest. I do have the 4.2 camera and gallery installed. Maybe that caused it to fail?

I wouldn't think so, but as the case with OTA updates there's no telling what can make them fail, I came from a not even set up or rooted stock because of the issues I had updating, but some people had root, apps frozen n whatnot and updated fine, crazy how different the same phone can be for each person.

Well I just tried Check to see if i could do the system update again and it says Im up to date. Anyone have any ideas what to do now?

I had everything unfrozen and stock except for root, bootloader and 4.2 camera. Havent used RSD in a long time, I dont even know which version is the current one. but maybe i should use your baseband updater?

Noob here can you please explain how to flash the new radio I'm still learning... I'm rooted but not unlock yet but I do have Motopocalypse app. I used Matts utility to get root I'm on 9.16.9 I don't plan on taking the OTA... Just want the radio I'm confused on (open the radio_updater. Xml file in RSD) I just want to make sure that I don't screw up. I know SamuriHL said he tested on an unlock phone.. Help

Id try that baseband update and see if you can get yourself up to date fully, otherwise may have to revert to older build and try again.

Worth a shot.  RSD 6.1.5 I believe is the latest.
