After reading through these posts, there seems to be a lot of mixed feelings about the update. Just curious what the initial success rate is. It would be nice to know by numbers how many are happy or upset about this update. It may help others, such as myself, decide as well whether to hop on the wagon or catch it at the next stop. Just wanted to get a general consensus. :)

Lost Root, because I was messing around with the launcher and other things. Hopefully we get the FastBoot Files. So far no problems yet on Full Stock JB

My spare RAZR is on it - I'm glad it finally is on a decent Android OS. :D

My Galaxy S3 enjoys being on Android 4.2 as well :P

Lost root but it was because of my own mistake. Love the update though!

I lost root, but it wasn't on my daily driver phone (RAZR MAXX). I installed it on my OG RAZR which wasn't rooted and was running stock. So, no big loss, but I like what I've seen so far, especially with the performance boosts.

Hopefully, when the "official" OTA comes out, even more improvements will have happened, but probably not.

Still, eagerly awaiting the official OTA, but I'll probably hold off until you can root it AND there is a fastboot image for it. Gotta have that fastboot in case I really hose things up.

The update is great. Retained root and will hold off modding for the time being. Been running jb in my GS3 for awhile so I knew what to expect ;-)

Followed

and everything went fine, except that only Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper was granted root access by SU; other apps needing root would not request or receive SU permission.

fixed the problem by installing SuperSU.

I managed to retain root, even though i screwed up on multiple steps along the way because of distractions and beer...

I find the update to make the phone feel very snappy, no lag on pressing buttons.

Can I get some help on dining the update.I'm on a xt912... Rooted with a stock and full throttle aopk4.1.2 job ROM.I'm on 214 not 211 on the stock ROM.I would loved to have the update but it seems really hard t poo go back to 212 before update.I've been lucky so far that I didnt kill the phone during rooting or installing the full throttle. I really want to stay rooted if possible.... There could be payment for the expert that helps me do this and does it correctly

For those that have upgraded, how many have actually taken the OTA versus the download? I'm trying to see what geographic regions are getting the rollout.

I'm really tempted to take the dive, especially to see how Blur and the Verizon apps (NFL Mobile and Music ID) I actually use have evolved (so I can immediately skin it with Nova launcher ;) ). But I still want to make an honest woman out of my phone, and do the OTA route versus a shotgun wedding backdoor download.

IMO JB is a huge success, less buggy than when ICS first hit the Razr line, was able to keep root and enjoying every second of JB on my Razr Maxx. :D

originally I got the OTA notification and the eventual download failed message. then I did the manual download, and kept root. as far as blur goes, I used it for a bit only till I redownloaded all my apps again and put ADW back as my launcher.
my honest opinion, do the backdoor wedding cause we know one of the devs, mainly matty will come up with a way to get us back on ota track again.

Quick Google search indicates the rollout was pulled due to issues....

Can anyone confirm they fixedthespacingissues with Swype?
