I got the OTA last night!

Pics or it didn't happen :P

I'm still waiting for the update, no rush. Just a little worried I didn't properly remove bootstrap and hoping that is not going to hold me back.

I'll second that. I got the OTA about 145am EST. Took about 30 min to download on wifi and then took another 20 to install and reboot.

Both frozen apps and boostrap will fail the OTA. Unfreeze all apps and remove bootstrap. If you still can't receive the OTA then you'll have to fastboot the .181 files cause I read somewhere that Bootstrap still lingers once uninstalled, I could be wrong.

Does that achieve the same thing? It's official and keeps you on any future official updates?

The only difference is the leak wipes your phone, the OTA keeps all your apps, info... etc....

I've thought about installing the leak instead of waiting for the ota, but at this point I might as well wait. Haven't rooted the phone yet, and don't have a computer available to do anything with right now anyway. Hate waiting, but it is what it is I guess.

I was about 3 hours away from flashing the leak... Then as I open my homepage I read that the official OTA was announced... I already waited it out for so long, I know nothing will really be different, besides not losing all of my text inbox (SMS Backup & Restore = solved) and not losing my apps, (Ti-Backup - Duh)...
Oh wait I totally just trolled my own post.
I really don't have any good reason not to flash...
Except for the fact that, that is just not what I want to do.
Ultimately I think that's one of the only things developers, hackers, and enthusiasts alike can all agree on.
I'll still be waiting to see that glorious little notification that says "System Update Available".

Even with the OTA, you may have to wipe your data. It's not required but if there are any weird things going on then you will have to do it anyway.

A data wipe is not required for a leak or an OTA but definitely recommended!! Especially from GB to ICS last thing you want is some GB data hanging around causing issues like FC's and things not working right after you update?

I would try and load the leak, but I'm out of town and using my hotspot feature for internet access. If I screw up and brick my phone, I'll be without internet.

You may want to wait anyways if you are using wireless tethering, I have seen that some people on the update have had issues... If that is your only source of internet for the weekend. (IMO of course... but hey I'm a N00b, what do I know?) :P
