This is for the DROID Razr HD, not The Razr HD. There's a difference. The main one being these are CDMA capable devices.

Really?
Apparently, you haven't read my post completely....My advice is to take a closer look at the links.

You are wrong. The American CDMA versions won't work via the moto website. The international XT925 does work. This thread is dedicated to the XT926

Just making sure before I run the .bat file, phone should be powered on and not in fastboot mode correct?

Absolutely beautiful work. Cannot use it on my Bionic, but i am amazed at the process and the approach. Thank you Dan for all you do.

Where can I find root for 4.1.2 for xt926?

Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk 2

You can't not possible on Droid Razr HD running 4.1.2

Lets wait til actual instructions are released before we speculate on any preparation steps. Hash is going to compile an actual Team Win Recovery, not a SafeStrap. Bootstrap style recoveries are passe` now man. We're gonna have the real deal, FINALLY.

Yeah but for how long tho.......lol. Its a given Moto/VZW will patch this at some point.

Do we have to extract the zip with 7 -zip before we execute it?

Or any other zip program, but, yes, it needs to be extract. DO NOT run it from the zip file or it will fail horribly.

Yes extract the zip, make sure you are on stock slot booted up and su updated, moto drivers installed in windows and usb debugging on under dev. options in settings.

Just unlocked my Razr HD, easy and fast! Once you run the .bat just follow the instructions to press enter only.

Looking at the script, it needs to be booted up and in USB debug mode so it can push some stuff to the phone.

I would like to say, Avoid Headaches - Read the Instructions -
That is #1 in the list.

Good advice for anything really.....

SafeStrap works, and im pretty sure any other Razr HD custom recovery will work now. Either for the xt925 or xt926... And there will be our very own TWRP recovery for xt926 non dev. unlocked BL!

SS won't do what needs to be done. TWRP would rock. I assume there's recoveries already for the dev editions of the M and HD which is why I asked. Once you put that on, you are golden and free. Root is as easy as flashing a su binary zip. You can go edit the system img and inject/remove things at will. You can downgrade to older versions if you want. A world of possibilities.
